what is the bridal bar?

The Bridal Bar is your new BFF. Your helping hand. Your bridal concierge. Your wedding lifeboat (as described by a past client). And even a bit of your bridal therapist. We are not your wedding planner, but we’ll help you find just the right one!

The Bridal Bar is a complimentary resource to help you discover what you need, when you need it, and who is best suited for your specific event to carry out your dreams, desires, and wedding wishes. Our storefronts offer complimentary consultations for expert advice, excellent inspiration, and assistance in finding just the right vetted and screened local event professionals for your big day.

how much does it cost?

Bridal consultations are complimentary.

do i need an appointment?

Yes. Although you will find us here five days a week, in order to ensure a one-on-one personal consultation we do ask that you call ahead. We want to give you our undivided attention – you deserve it! It’s your wedding!

how much time should i plan for my visit?

You can stay as long as you like or pop in for just a moment. If you are just beginning your planning process, we recommend you set aside at least an hour but it’s up to you how long you stay and play!

can i bring guests?

Of course! Moms, maids, brides, grooms – the more the merrier, bring the bridal party and we’ll help you celebrate.

is this too good to be true?

No (though couples do ask). We’re here to help (really). We believe every couple deserves the best opportunity to have the wedding they want without stress, headache, or heartache and we want to help make that happen. But don’t ask us, ask couples before you. Here’s what a few of them had to say…

what if i’m planning a destination wedding?

Exciting! We can help you with that too! Depending on the locale we may or may not have vendor recommendations in that area but we’ve got lots you can accomplish here at the bar regardless – from ideas and inspiration to invitations and perhaps picking a photographer and planner to travel with you.

are you wedding planners?

No, we’re not wedding planners. That’s a job left to those pros. We’re more like your wedding assistant. Our experts are not there on your wedding day; we will not design your event or run your budget and timeline. But we’ve got some amazing people to recommend for that!

what if i already have a wedding planner?

Congrats! You’ve made a good decision. You’re welcome to invite your wedding planner along for your consultation or come on your own. We’ve still got excellent event professional recommendations with or without a planner by your side.

what if i’m not local to the store?

Ring us, drop us a line, or schedule an appointment when you’re in town. Our experts are here to help, whether remotely or in person.  Our professionals are local to our stores so we can help you the most when you’re wedding is local, but you need not be!

what if i’m overwhelmed?

Relax! Most people experience some of these feelings and that’s normal. If this is your first time down the aisle, it’s normal not to know what to expect. Start with a visit to the bar and we’ll put your fears to rest, help you organize, and get you excited about this incredible time in your life.

what if i’ve got most of it covered?

Nicely done! Even if you just need a last minute makeup artist recommendation, there is no minimum that you can lean on us for.

what do you sell?

Typically nothing. Some of our stores will retail small goods and accessories or host pop-up shops throughout the year but our core is to help, not to sell.

how do you make money?

Our incredibly talented, wonderfully sweet, trustworthy and smart (we’re not bias, we swear) event professional members pay us a flat annual fee to be represented by The Bridal Bar – once screened extensively, approved, and invited into our group. We limit the number of event professionals we represent at any given time and vary companies in style, price and area of expertise. We take no markups or commissions on vendor goods and services, so you know we’re recommending that wedding dress because it’s exactly what you’ve been looking for, not because of the price.

how do you select your professional members?

Potential Bridal Bar members go through an extensive review including a process of checks and balances, reference calls and screening and experiencing the services and goods. While we don’t disclose our process exactly, know that it’s detailed and thorough, and that we would hire these companies for our own weddings with confidence.

what if i have a bad experience with one of the recommended event professionals?

We want to hear about it. We take our recommendations very seriously. Our word is only as good as the service you receive from a professional we refer you to. Please contact our office should you experience something less than stellar and we will walk you through our protocol for complaints.

what if i have a great experience with one of the recommended event professionals?

We want to hear about great service too! It’s nice to hear good things about the companies we work with. Feel free to share the good; it makes us feel good too.
